Alors que le sentier débouche sur la rivière scintillante d’étoiles, un monstre noir m’apparaît. Planté là, immobile sur la berge, il semble dormir toutes épines et cornes dehors. Ou bien est-il mort? Passé au fil de l’épée par un chevalier? Un halo de lumière et le chant de l’eau l’entourent. Impossible de savoir s’il dort ou s’il est mort. Si je m’approche de trop je constaterais que ce n’est que le tronc et les racines d’un arbre échoué sur la rive, et pas un Minotaure sorti de mon imagination. ————- As the path leads to the river sparkling of stars, a black beast appears to me. Planted there, motionless on the bank, he seems to sleep all thorns and horns outside. Or is he dead? Passed over the sword by a knight? A halo of light and the song of water surround him. It's impossible to know if he's sleeping or dead. If I get too close I'll discover that it's just the trunk and roots of a tree stranded on the shore, and not a Minotaur coming out of my imagination.
