Lung-men v P'eng-p'o-chen

Jeskyně Lung-men se nachází 12 km jižně od Luo-jangu, městě v čínské provincii Che-nan. Je zde řada skalních reliéfů a kamenných soch, které zde byly vytesány většinou v průběhu 1. tisíciletí našeho letopočtu. Převažují náboženská, zejména buddhistická vyobrazení. Roku 2000 byly jeskyně zařazeny na Seznam světového dědictví UNESCO.

The scenery measures 1,000 metres from north to south where there are over 2,300 holes, 1,300 caves and 100,000 statues. Most of them are the works of the Northern Wei Dynasty and ang Dynasty.

World heritage. Breathtaking, jaw-dropping Buddha statues carved into mountains. Asian Art Museum has a smaller Buddha head from here. A good hike, and a must see. Taxi drivers are shady though.

One of those places that will leave you breathless! Absolutely amazing, beautiful and impressive. Don't go there during national holidays, as most of the passages and stairs there are pretty narrow.

Travel light if you're out of shape. You've got stairs to climb. Tickets are on the expensive side and i would recommend doing the audio tour...i had so many questions...
